Six Months Later...

So here it is, six months after getting released from the college. While I had a part in my demise, it seems that my former employers have taken it upon themselves to "blacklist" good ol' Mr. B. Nice of them after a total of almost 10 years of more than faithful service. But while I could blast the powers to be that have served the "burn notice", I'm not going to. Before I do that, I need to get a copy of my background report. When I do, if there is something on there that is detrimental, I will be seeking legal advice. I can't stop employers from saying they wouldn't hire me again, but I can affect what is in that report.

I won my appeal with Unemployment, so I will be getting all my back unemployment compensation and perhaps I should be satisfied with that. But those that know me realize that I stand for fairness whether is upsets the applecart or not. In my mind, the student should ALWAYS come first, and that is not happening. While my demise has nothing to do with anything, I think my standing policy concerning students had something to do with it. I was not playing corporate politics.

I feel for all the students that are feeling like they are "on the outside looking in"...trust me, I know what that is like. Hang in there, do your best, and remember that it is YOUR education, not some corporation's idea of education. Put 110% into it and demand you get what you are paying for.

To all the grads walking soon in graduation ceremonies not matter what institution you graduated from...you made it and you should be proud! I know I'm proud of you!

Until later...

Mr. B
